January 1945 - December 2019

It is with great sadness that we have to report that our wonderful chairperson Dorothy Flude has passed away, Dorothy was a true friend to everyone, not just at the Heritage Centre but also in the local community.

Dorothy joined the Heritage Centre team in 2017, with the strong goal of driving the Heritage Centre forward in the community, along with Dorothy's work as a passionate local councillor.

Dorothy with her knowledge and enthusiasm, reinvigorated a new direction for the Heritage Centre, initiating new and exciting plans to develop the museum, helping to leave a legacy for future generations. Since becoming Chair of Crewe Heritage Trust she has been instrumental in our work towards obtaining Museum status.

We will miss her strong and forthright leadership and ability to focus our position in the Crewe community that she loved so much.

She will be leaving a huge hole in our team and will be sorely missed.

Our thoughts are with Dorothy’s family at this sad time.
